Renovation Guide
When to Involve a WiFi & AV Consultant
Get the technology right before the walls go up
Involving a technology consultant early in your renovation means infrastructure decisions are made at the right time — before walls are closed, before finishes are applied, and before it becomes expensive to change course.
When to Involve Us During a Renovation
The best time to bring us in is before first fix or as soon as the renovation scope is defined. That lets us plan cabling, access points, and cabinet locations while the walls and ceilings are still open.
Ideal timing
- Design stage: We review floor plans and propose access point, camera, and TV locations.
- Pre-first fix: We agree on routes, conduits, and cabinet locations.
- During first fix: Cabling is installed and labelled before walls are closed.
What to send us
- Floor plans (PDF or CAD if available)
- Renovation scope and timeline
- Where you want TVs, workspaces, and outdoor areas
- Any existing equipment you want to reuse
Why timing matters
If cabling decisions are left too late, you usually end up with:
- Shortcuts in routes
- Missing data points
- Inaccessible cabinets
- Wi-Fi access points stuck in poor locations
