20 Mar Having issues with your Linksys Velop WiFi mesh setup?
Need assistance resolving connectivity issues with your Linksys Velop WiFi mesh system? Are you frustrated by unpredictable problems like node crashes, random red signals, or erroneous password notifications? Give these recommendations a shot: 1) Disable IPv6 by accessing your Linksys app’s advanced internet settings and selecting passthrough mode under IPv6 on the top tab.
2) Clear out your device list by going into the linksys app’s device section and selecting show all. If you notice an excessive number of devices (around 100), utilize the clear button located in the top right corner to wipe them from view.
3) Perform a network restart as a precautionary measure after making any adjustments. Access the network administration feature in the app and locate the option to restart Velops at the bottom.
By implementing a combination of these solutions, you can significantly enhance the performance of your Linksys Velop setup. However, keep in mind that certain Internet Service Providers (ISPs) may still present challenges. At present (March 2022), we do not recommend Linksys Velops for multi-node configurations, pending firmware updates that address these issues. Instead, we suggest exploring alternatives from our highly recommended Stuff We Love category!
