Why should I use an AMC?

Firmware updates, software changes, new devices, and evolving requirements all mean that Wi-Fi, AV, and smart home systems need ongoing care to stay reliable, secure, and performing as intended. Hurst First’s Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) replace reactive callouts with a structured, long-term support relationship — giving you priority access, proactive maintenance, and predictable costs.

When Is an AMC Required?

An active Hurst First AMC is required for any system that includes:

  • Existing or previously installed hardware
  • Developer-installed systems
  • Third-party Wi-Fi, AV, or smart home equipment

This ensures we can support your system responsibly, safely, and to a professional standard.

For systems fully supplied and installed by Hurst First, an AMC is optional but strongly recommended.

Without an active AMC, we are unable to provide ongoing support for third-party or mixed systems.

Supporting Existing or Third-Party Systems

If your system was installed by another company, we’re happy to take it on — but we do so in a structured way to protect both you and us.

Before activating an AMC, we carry out an Initial Assessment to understand the system and identify any risks.

Assessment Fee: AED 500 + VAT
(Fully refunded if you proceed with an AMC)

Outcomes

  • Accepted for support
  • Accepted subject to minor remedial works
  • Declined if the system cannot be supported responsibly

Preferred Pricing for AMC Clients

Clients with an active AMC benefit from preferred pricing on new hardware supplied by Hurst First during the AMC term:

  • Essential Support: 5% discount
  • Professional Support: 7.5% discount
  • Premium Support: 10% discount

Discounts apply to new hardware supplied by Hurst First, subject to minimum project value and AMC terms.

Thinking About an Upgrade?

Many clients start with an AMC to stabilise an existing system, then later upgrade to a fully Hurst First–designed solution.

Where applicable, part of your AMC value may be credited toward a new project if you upgrade within the AMC term (subject to timing and scope).
